Hence, this list of “Things to Check Off Your Bucket List in Bahrain”. Every week, our team will be curating some places, activities, or experiences for you to try in Bahrain. Here is part 4 of our Bahrain Bucket List:
Arad Fort
One of the 3 UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Bahrain, Arad Fort, is a 15th-century fort with distinctly Arabic architecture. It was thought to be the capital of the Dilmun civilization. Formerly guarding a separate island of its own, the fort and its surroundings have since been joined to Muharraq Island. In fact, tourists who come to Bahrain are often greeted by the fort due to its proximity to the Bahrain International Airport. As it’s near to the sea, you can enjoy a full day out visiting the fort and the Arad Fort Beach Park near it. Check out this historical fort HERE.
Muharraq Souq
One of the oldest souq’s in Bahrain, the Muharraq Souq runs through the heart of the city. The souq is an atmospheric old Bahraini bazaar where all the needs of daily life are bought and bartered for. Near its southern end, Souq Al Qaisariya is an important part of the heritage pathway and offers a more historic take on the markets of Muharraq. Basically, anything you need, from food and clothes to even gold, you can head on over to Muharraq Souq.
A’ali Pottery
Bahrain’s biggest pottery handicraft center, A’ali Pottery, is located deep in the heart of Bahrain amidst the 4000-year-old burial mounds. Using the old-fashioned foot-operated wheel, and baking the finished pots in kilns built into the nearby burial mounds; a traditional method passed down through generations, the artisans create beautiful pots and handicrafts of virtually every size and style imaginable, from naturally finished to brightly colored pieces. قلعة عراد
قلعة عراد هي واحدة من مواقع التراث العالمي الثلاثة لليونسكو في البحرين ، وهي عبارة عن حصن يعود تاريخه إلى القرن الخامس عشر بهندسة معمارية عربية مميزة. كانت قديما عاصمة لحضارة دلمون. كانت القلعة التي كانت تحرس سابقًا جزيرة منفصلة خاصة بها ، ومنذ ذلك الحين انضمت إلى جزيرة المحرق. في الواقع ، غالبًا ما تستقبل القلعة السياح الذين يأتون إلى البحرين نظرًا لقربها من مطار البحرين الدولي و لقربها من البحر، يمكنكم الاستمتاع بيوم كامل في زيارة القلعة ومنتزه شاطئ قلعة عراد القريب منها. تحقق من هذه القلعة التاريخية هنا.
سوق المحرق

فخار عالي
