Hey everyone! We’ve got some fantastic news to share! Last night, at the highly anticipated eGovernment Excellence Awards, LocalBH was crowned with the prestigious Best Practice in eParticipation award!
We’re excited to share that our co-founder, Ali Farooq, had the honor of accepting the award on behalf of our CEO and founder, Saad Ahmed. Ali’s passion and leadership, along with Saad’s vision, have been instrumental in shaping LocalBH!
We want to take a moment to express our heartfelt thanks to all of you who have been a part of our journey! And supported us along the way. A huge shoutout goes to the Information & eGovernment Authority (IGA) and the entire Bahrain community for their incredible support. We couldn’t have done it without you. You all rock!
Now, let’s talk about what this award really means:
- The Best Practice in eParticipation award recognizes organizations like ours—public entities, private entities, or Non-Government Organizations! That effectively use social media, blogs, and other digital platforms to involve the public in service development, policy-making, and decision shaping. It’s all about empowering you, the citizens!
- We went through a rigorous evaluation process to clinch this award. They looked at our presence on various social networking platforms! And the awesome variety of content we bring you! Plus how much we interact with you and value your opinions, and the impact we’ve made on services and policies. They even considered your reviews and satisfaction levels.
And now, we have a special message from our CEO & Founder, Saad Ahmed:
“When we take a moment to reflect on our humble beginnings with LocalBH, it is astounding to realize the journey we embarked on. It started with nothing more than an idea and an Instagram page, but it has expanded into a far-reaching phenomenon, reshaping the media landscape of our Kingdom. I would like to thank everyone who has been a part of our journey and supported us along the way. I would especially like to share my appreciation for the leadership of Bahrain whose continued support has been key to our success. Their commitment to fostering an economy in line with the Kingdom’s Economic Vision 2030, with an emphasis on digital transformation, has created an environment that enables businesses like LocalBH to thrive and innovate. And lastly, to the LocalBH family – It is because of YOUR relentless hard work and commitment that we have achieved this remarkable milestone, and it is a story for us ALL to tell one day. We couldn’t have done this without you!“
Here’s to a digitally empowered Bahrain!
