Bahraini women are making their mark in the workforce!
Move over, stereotypes! Official statistics reveal that Bahrain ranks second among the Arab Gulf countries in terms of the percentage of female workers. Get ready to dive into the exciting world of women empowerment and witness the incredible strides made by Bahraini women in the workforce!
According to the latest statistics from the Gulf Statistical Center, female workers in Bahrain are 23.7% of the total employment. Their male counterparts make up about 76.3%. These numbers showcase a significant shift towards gender equality, with women carving out their place in the professional sphere.
While Kuwait takes the lead with nearly 29.8% of women working in the sectors, Bahrain proudly secures the second spot. Saudi Arabia follows closely in third place, while Qatar and Oman rank fourth and fifth, respectively. The statistics across the Arab Gulf countries reveal that males still dominate the total employment, accounting for about 80.6%, leaving the remaining 19.4% for females. Nonetheless, Bahrain’s progress in boosting female employment is a cause for celebration and a testament to the remarkable potential and talent of Bahraini women.
