A Star In the Making!

At just 20 years old, Bayan Salman is already becoming a driving force for women’s basketball in Bahrain, both on and off the court. Her ascent reflects not only athletic talent, but also a deeper commitment to growing the sport and opening doors for future generations!

Bayan’s basketball journey began in the UK, where she was born and raised. During her youth, she was scouted by the Sevenoaks Suns of the Women’s British Basketball League (WBBL). She willingly made a three-hour round trip from home to train, a testament to her dedication early on!

Her national-team debut in 2022 came with challenges, but with experience in 3×3 competition and support of her coaches, she went on to score her major win at the NEOM 3×3 Women’s Cup in 2023/24! As a youth leader recognized by the FIBA Foundation’s Asian Youth Leadership Program, Bayan is driving clinics, education initiatives, and empowerment campaigns for young girls. From Malaysia to Bahrain, she champions gender equality, healthy living, and sustainability while using basketball as a tool for positive change!

With her passion, leadership, and long-term vision, Bayan Salman isn’t just winning games, she’s building a legacy and inspiring a generation. Here’s to winning more and sharing more!
