Kicking off 2021 with Season 2 of Local x Local!!
Bahrain has a lot to offer that not everyone really knows about. We all know a little about the Bahrain Institute of Banking & Finance, but what we’re really trying to highlight is the University of Strathclyde at the BIBF.
On this week’s episode, we sat down with Elvin Joseph to talk about the University of Strathclyde at the BIBF
We discussed the university’s renowned Masters programs, the flexibility of the courses and the state of the art campus that’s opening soon in Bahrain Bay. The university is at least 300 years old, founded by a professor of natural philosophy at the University of Glasgow, and he founded Strathclyde as a second university that he wanted to open up – specifically focusing on useful learning.
A lot of the people who’ve gotten a Bachelor’s degree from the BIBF end up enrolling into one of Strathclyde’s Masters courses, although not everyone talks about how regularly this happens.
Oh, and fun fact, the head of the university is the Queen. Yes, that queen. For real.
The university currently has two top-line Masters programs, the first offered was the Masters of Business Administration (MBA), and just recently in 2019 introduced the Masters of Fintech – the first of its kind in our region!!
What’s super exciting is that the University of Strathclyde is opening up its second campus at the BIBF in Bahrain Bay this year, and “state of the art” is the only accurate description for it!!
