Major Update: Netflix’s Password-Sharing Crackdown Has Officially Reached Bahrain

Netflix’s password-sharing crackdown has officially reached Bahrain. A customer service representative confirmed that the restriction has started to take effect today. People in Bahrain will no longer be able to share Netflix passwords outside their homes.

The WiFi network and IP address of devices are being noted in the platform to crack down on the sharing process. To add an extra member from outside your household, additional cost would be added.

The restrictions on password sharing were previously implemented in more than 100 countries, including US, Britain, France, Germany, Australia, Singapore, Mexico, and Brazil. Netflix stopped password-sharing today in countries like India and the UAE
