According to a report just released by the Meteorological Directorate, last month saw a record of 34.4C with 6 days exceeding 40C sitting at the 3rd highest recorded temperature in Bahrain in the month of September.
The 1st and 2nd highest recorded were in 2017 at 34.6C and 1998, 2015, 2018 at 34.5C and have not been seen in Bahrain since 1902.
Temperatures have been soaring all around the world and fingers are being pointed at Global Warming for the reason why.
According to the GDN, The European Union’s Copernicus Climate Change Service had also claimed that temperatures were above average around the continent for in September.
This week the weather averages at 35-36C, showing signs of a little cooldown.
