On March 22, Bahrain joined the world in celebrating Earth Hour, a global movement to raise awareness about energy conservation and climate action. From 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM, landmarks, businesses, and residents across the country switched off their lights to support sustainability efforts. The Electricity & Water Authority (EWA) actively participated by turning off non-essential lights and devices in several of its facilities.
This initiative highlights Bahrain’s commitment to reducing carbon footprints and promoting responsible energy consumption. EWA emphasized the importance of sustainable practices and encouraged individuals and organizations to adopt eco-friendly habits beyond Earth Hour. The event saw participation from community members, government entities, and private businesses, all united in the fight against climate change.
