Flying High! Bahrain Airport Records 951K Passengers, 9,000 Flights in August 2025

In August 2025, Bahrain International Airport saw a big increase in passengers, flights, and cargo. Nearly 952,000 people traveled through the airport, with about 509,000 arriving and 442,000 leaving. There were over 9,000 flights, almost half arriving and half departing. More than 47,000 planes flew over Bahrain’s airspace. The airport also handled about 34,000 tons of cargo, including imports, exports, and transit goods. The fastest-growing travel destinations were Najaf in Iraq with a 64% increase, followed by Abu Dhabi and Sharjah in the UAE with 45%, and Doha in Qatar with 23%. This shows strong growth in Bahrain’s air travel and trade.

Bahrain International Airport continues to grow as a key hub for travelers and cargo in the region.
