Bahrain has marked a major milestone one year after the inauguration of the Bapco Modernisation Project. During an inspection visit, HH Sh Nasser announced that the refinery’s production has reached a record 405,000 barrels per day, exceeding expectations and strengthening the Kingdom’s industrial leadership. The increase boosts Bahrain’s export capacity of high-value oil products by up to 40%. HH Sh Nasser reviewed the performance of the new units and directed the study of additional industrial projects. He also met more than 700 trained Bahraini engineers and technicians who are operating the advanced refinery with high efficiency. Bahraini engineers and technicians underwent over 200,000 hours of specialised training, including international courses and local intensive programmes, equipping them with rare operational expertise.
