HM King Hamad Attended the Gulf-US Summit & Here’s Everything You Need to Know About His Speech

HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa took part in the Gulf-US Summit held in Riyadh and shared a message focused on peace, partnership, and regional stability. In his speech, HM King Hamad began by thanking the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their kind invitation and warm hospitality. He welcomed the participation of U.S. President Donald Trump, noting that his presence reflects the strength of the longstanding partnership between the GCC countries and the United States.

HM the King congratulated President Trump on his election win and praised the efforts he has made in promoting peace and resolving conflicts. He highlighted the alignment between the president’s approach and the goals shared by Arab leaders especially the peace calls made during the Bahrain Summit last year. King Hamad expressed appreciation for the decision to lift sanctions on Syria and called for further cooperation to ensure safety and prosperity across the region. He also supported a peaceful two-state solution for Palestine, and a vision of a Middle East free from weapons of mass destruction.

He emphasized the importance of successful negotiations between the U.S. and Iran, noting that they could bring greater stability and prosperity to the region. HM King Hamad also recognized Saudi Arabia’s active humanitarian role and peace efforts, including its attempts to help resolve the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Reaffirming Bahrain’s commitment to global and regional security, the King pointed to the strong partnership with the United States, especially through joint efforts with the U.S. Fifth Fleet. He stressed Bahrain’s commitment to protecting key maritime routes and keeping them safe from threats like piracy and terrorism. He concluded by saying that Bahrain is eager to continue strengthening economic ties with the United States, especially in trade and investment. He expressed hope that this summit would lead to deeper cooperation and a brighter, more peaceful future for all.
