Bahraini Poet Mubarak bin Amr Al Amari Has Been Honored by ALESCO Among Arab World’s Finest

A Prestigious Regional Recognition

As part of the twelfth edition of Arab Poetry Day and the 2026 recognition of leading Arab cultural figures, Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization selected Bahraini poet Mubarak bin Amr Al Amari to be honored among a distinguished group of poets from across the Arab world.

This selection comes in line with the resolutions of the Conference of Arab Culture Ministers, taking into account the recommendations of the Permanent Committee for Arab Culture, and based on the Director-General’s decision. The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities welcomed the announcement, highlighting the importance of such initiatives in تعزيز the status of poetry and celebrating poets across the Arab world.

BACA also praised the recognition of Mubarak Al Amari as a leading figure in heritage and culture, noting his pioneering contributions to enriching intellectual life in Bahrain and the wider Gulf region, as well as his impactful community initiatives and diverse cultural projects.
