The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) recently made an announcement that might disappoint book lovers.
Brace yourselves because the 19th edition of Bahrain International Book Fair, originally planned for February 2024, has been postponed. The news came through the board’s website, alongside other postponed activities and events.
Bashar Jasim, the director of the Bahrain International Book Gallery, confirmed the decision, but he couldn’t provide specific details about the reasons behind the postponement or its new date. This is actually the third time the event has been postponed. In 2020, it was due to the pesky Corona pandemic, and then again in 2022. The latest plan was for it to take place from February 8 to 18, 2024, but it has been postponed once more.
Adding to the news, the Arab Publishers Union also announced the postponement of the 19th edition of Bahrain International Book Fair. It was supposed to be happening this February, but now we’ll have to wait a little longer.
Stay tuned for the new dates!
