Great news!
Recently, Netflix announced a new hero/anti-hero series called ‘Grendel’, which is based on Matt Wagner’s Dark Horse Entertainment comic book series of the same name. But, the big news is that Abubakr Ali will be the first Arab Muslim Actor to star in a comic series adaptation on Netflix!
Grendel, will feature Hunter Rose, played by Abubakr Ali, who is a fencer, writer and assassin who fights organized crime in New York to avenge the death of a lost love, until he ends up taking over the crime scene himself. Ali has perviously featured in Bash, Power Book II: Ghost, Katy Keene and is currently working as a lead in What If?, an upcoming feature.
We’re super excited for this and hope to see more Arab and Muslim faces in spotlight in the coming years!

هذا العربي المسلم سيكون أول بطل يظهر في مسلسل يستند إلى كتب مصورة على Netflix
في الآونة الأخيرة، أعلنت Netflix عن سلسلة جديدة للبطل / المناهض للبطل تسمى “Grendel” ، والتي تستند إلى سلسلة الكتب المصورة Dark Horse Entertainment التي كتبها Matt Wagner والتي تحمل الإسم نفسه. لكن الخبر الكبير هو أن أبو بكر علي سيكون أول ممثل عربي مسلم يلعب دور البطولة في مسلسل كوميدي مقتبس على Netflix!
جريندل ، ستعرض دور هانتر روز ، الذي يؤديه أبو بكر علي ، وهو مبارز وكاتب وقاتل يكافح الجريمة المنظمة في نيويورك إنتقاما لموت الحب الضائع، حتى ينتهي به الأمر بالسيطرة على مسرح الجريمة بنفسه. ظهر علي في السابق في Bash ، Power Book II: Ghost ، Katy Keene ويعمل حاليًا كرائد في What If؟ ، وهي ميزة قادمة له.
