HM King Hamad met with senior royal family members and officials at Sakhir Palace. During the meeting, HM King Hamad praised the Ministry of Interior for the success of the alternative sentencing program, which focuses on rehabilitation instead of imprisonment. The program, the first of its kind in the region, helps people reintegrate into society while strengthening family stability.
HM King Hamad thanked Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa and the team for their efforts in developing this initiative, which has received international recognition. He emphasized the importance of continuing to grow the program and offering more opportunities to benefit from it.
The Interior Minister also thanked the King for his support and highlighted the focus on keeping youth with their families and communities.
