After much anticipation, Saudi Arabia announced on Sunday in a Ministry statement that it will ease travel restrictions starting tomorrow, September 15, 2020.
Starting Tuesday, GCC citizens, expats with valid visas will be allowed to enter and exit Saudi Arabia again, while the travel ban will be completely lifted on January 1 2020, meaning anyone can freely exit and enter the Kingdom.
The lift comes with strict precautionary measures against COVID-19, anyone entering will need to take a COVID-19 test 48 hours prior with a negative test result.
