Update: Bahrain Just Approved the Pfizer Vaccine for 12-17 Year Olds

The vaccine has previously been approved for this age group in the UAE as well as the US

In a new development, Bahrain’s National Taskforce for Combating Covid-19 has approved the use of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine for children aged 12-17.

The approval of a guardian at the health centre is required before taking the vaccine, as well as the presence of a guardian while taking the shot itself.

As of now, the BeAware application still showcases that registrants can only be 18 years or older, but this is expected to change in the next few days. Currently, the wait time for Pfizer is 30 days.
