Let’s protect our environment
Preserving the marine environment is an amazing initiative and we are so proud of our young divers who have volunteered to be a part of this clean-up drive! The Bahrain Diving Volunteer Team Authority (BDVT) has organized a campaign named ‘Our Seas Clean’, but this campaign isn’t new, they have organized a successful drive in 2019, which ended up collecting 30 tons of waste across Bahrain, and currently a 2nd edition is being carried out.
BDVT aims to be role model for other countries of the world in the field of diving and protection of the marine ecosystem, and enhance the level of cultural awareness in the young generation with a sense of responsibility in terms of the protection of our environment . We stan such initiatives and are super proud of our youth! They successfully carried out a drive at Al-Dar Islands on the 4th of September. The team worked with a bunch of participants and in cooperation with a number of civil society institutions.
BDVT is working with the support of Supreme Council for Environment in achieving its goals for a sustainable environment and the Kingdom’s developmental plans. Special Envoy for Climate Affairs and CEO Dr. Mohamed Bin Mubarak Bin Daina, praised BDVT’s efforts and appreciated the steps to involve the youth in doing so.

حملة بحرنا نظيف للمحافظة على البيئة البحرية
خلونا نحمي بيئتنا
الحفاظ على البيئة البحرية تعتبر مبادرة رائعة ونحن فخورون جدًا بالغواصين الشباب الذين تطوعوا ليكونوا جزءًا من حملة التنظيف هذه!
تهدف BDVTA إلى أن تكون نموذج يحتذى به بين دول العالم في مجال الغوص وحماية البيئة البحرية وتعزيز مستوى الوعي الثقافي بين جيل الشباب بالإضافة إلى رفع الشعور بالمسؤولية إتجاه حماية بيئتنا.بصراحة نحن نشجع مثل هذه المبادرات ونفتخر بشبابنا! لقد نجحوا في تنفيذ حملة واحدة في جزر الدار في الرابع من سبتمبر ٢٠٢١ مع مجموعة من المتطوعين بالتعاون مع عدد من مؤسسات المجتمع المدني.
من أجل تحقيق اهدافها، تعمل BDVTA بدعم من المجلس الأعلى للبيئة من أجل بيئة مستدامة ووضع خطط تنموية للمملكة. لقد أشاد المبعوث الخاص للشؤون المناخية والرئيس التنفيذي؛ الدكتور محمد بن مبارك بن دينة بجهود هيئة البحرين للغوص وأثنى على الخطوات المتبعة لإسهام الشباب في المشاركة.
