Penumbral Lunar Eclipse in Bahrain!

Calling astrogazers! A penumbral Lunar eclipse next week will appear in Bahrain’s skies at 6:14 pm Bahrain time this Friday! It’s called the Flower Moon! This rare and stunning event is a must-see for astronomy and space enthusiasts.

Not only will the sky be filled with the beautiful Flower Moon, but also with the breathtaking sight of the Earth casting a shadow on the Moon.

What is the Penumbral Lunar Eclipse?

It is a type of lunar eclipse that occurs when the Earth passes between the Moon and the Sun, casting a shadow on the Moon’s surface. However, unlike a total or partial lunar eclipse, during a Penumbral Lunar Eclipse, the Earth’s outer shadow (penumbra) only partially covers the Moon, resulting in a subtle darkening of the Moon’s surface. This event can be observed without any special equipment and is a rare opportunity to witness the beauty of the cosmos.

Timing

The Penumbral Lunar Eclipse in Bahrain will begin at 6:14 pm and reach its maximum at 8:22 pm, with a magnitude of -0.046. The event will last for a total of 4 hours and 18 minutes, ending at 10:31 pm. It is the perfect opportunity to gather with friends and family and witness the magic of the universe.
