Time for a colorful binge!

The ancient Hindu festival, Holi, celebrates the love for the Hindu gods Radha and Krishna. Every year, there usually is a huge color festival celebration – things look a little different this year, so we’re celebrating with food instead… Still a good consolation, right? Rasoi By Vineet

This 5-star fine-dining Indian restaurant in the Gulf Hotel is the first in Bahrain to be run by a 3 time Michelin star Chef, Vineet Bhatia. Expect a luxurious one-of-a-kind experience, where every plate served to you looks like a work of art and the taste is just phenomenal. Order the Samosa Chat which is so beautifully presented you’ll need a minute to appreciate it visually before you dig in.

Nirvana

One of the best fine-dining Indian cuisines on the island is Nirvana at the Ritz-Carlton. With elegant and traditional decor, and the intimate ambiance is fitting for a royal dining experience. They definitely know the right way to flavor their dishes and create delightful presentations. A simple menu with a deep focus on quality!

Asha’s

Opened by popular Bollywood singer Asha Bhosle, this award-winning chain restaurant has expanded into Bahrain in 2008, combines modern contemporary decors with authentic North-West Indian cuisine. The food is absolutely amazing and flavourful. Try the Lamb Bharta, Chingri Malai Curry or the Chicken Berry Biryani for a traditional dish and they also have an extensive Vegetarian and Vegan list.

Mewar

Dine here if you like the finer things in life. One of the few Indian restaurants in the region that specialize in traditional gourmet recipes – the quality is fit for royalty, which is where they draw influence from for its Rajasthani style.

Moti Mahal

Satisfy your Indian food cravings here where the portions are huge and the meals are very heavenly with the perfect ratio of spice and flavor. Moti Mahal put their name on the map in 1920 and now carry branches in UAE, U.K, India, and Bahrain. The fine-dining restaurant knows how to produce high-quality dishes that don’t disappoint.

Aria

We recently tried out the lunch menu at Aria ourselves, and let us tell you it left us completely stunned! The dishes were so expertly crafted and just kept getting more and more delicious – totally LocalBH approved.

Copper Chimney

This has to be the TOP pick, Copper Chimney is a classic go-to spot for any and all Indian food. They have basically every kind of curry you will ever want, and it’s all packs a punch.

Lanterns

A go-to all around Bahrain. Lanterns has so many spots around the island so it’s super easy to get to. The butter chicken is soooo good here and if you haven’t tried it yet, check out their Kerala prawn curry – a LocalBH fave!

Ashas Chaat Sweets Namkeen

One of the oldest and most authentic spots in town, Asha’s is a must-visit. Not only do they have curry, but also some of the BEST chaat you can find here. Not to mention their whole set up of Indian sweets including some of the best rasmalai we’ve ever had.

Mumbai Spices

One of the best spots to order in from. They have some authentic dishes, here and you can find them on talabaat! They’ve even got some of the best Gulab Jamun over here, served warmed up and topped up with vanilla ice-cream!
