Nasal spray to the rescue
Bahrain has announced that NHRA is considering implementing a nasal spray to fight the spread of the coronavirus. The Enovid Nasal Spray, developed by Canadian company SaNOtize, aims to fight Covid-19 by spraying a small dose of Nitric Oxide along the upper airways and effectively killing the chances for the virus to replicate.
The studies done on the spray up till now reports that, patients exposed to the treatment show a 94% decrease in viral replication in the first 24 hours and a 99% decrease in the first 72 hours. These studies, conducted in Utah State University’s Antiviral Research Institute state that the spray is effective against the alpha, beta and gamma variants of the virus too. The same study also states that, “The solution can kill the virus within 2 minutes”.
If this is true, we could be on our way back to normal.

البحرين تستخدم بخاخ الأنف لمكافحة كوفيد -19
البخاخ هو المنقذ
أعلنت البحرين أن الهيئة تدرس استخدام بخاخ للأنف لمكافحة انتشار فيروس كورونا. يهدف البخاخ Enovid Nasal، الذي طورته شركة SaNOtize الكندية، إلى محاربة Covid-19 عن طريق رش جرعة صغيرة من أكسيد النيتريك على طول الممرات الهوائية الأنفية العلوية وقتل فرص تكاثر الفيروس بشكل فعال.
تشير الدراسات التي أجريت على الرش حتى الآن إلى أن المرضى الذين تعرضوا للعلاج أظهروا انخفاضًا بنسبة 94 ٪ في تكاثر الفيروس في أول 24 ساعة وانخفاضًا بنسبة 99 ٪ في أول 72 ساعة. تشير هذه الدراسات، التي أجريت في معهد الأبحاث المضاد للفيروسات بجامعة ولاية يوتا، إلى أن الرذاذ فعال ضد متغيرات ألفا وبيتا وغاما للفيروس أيضًا. وتشير نفس الدراسة أيضًا إلى أن “الحل يمكن أن يقتل الفيروس في غضون دقيقتين”.
