‘The Green Corner’ Is The Newest Heritage Site In Bahrain & It’s An Architectural Beauty

The Shaikh Ebrahim Center for Culture and Research just unveiled the “The Green Corner” in the heart of Muharraq. The project was built in collaboration with the UAE:

The project (…) is being implemented with generous support of the UAE as part of the initiatives launched under the auspices of the Year of Zayed, commemorating the founding father Zayed bin Sultan Al Nehyan and in honor of his role in strengthening relations between UAE and Bahrain.

And it’s BREATHTAKING

The building will be used to restore documents & paintings. The corner also holds an archive of Art in Bahrain. Which include documents, books and pieces of art to record Bahrain’s rich heritage. As well as a full environmental and ecological library – which explains why it’s called ‘The Green Corner.’

The building was designed by Studio Anne Holtrop – a Dutch architecture firm, and the interiors were designed by Ammar Basheir Creative Studio. The whole project was even featured on the cover of an international magazine – goes to show just how impressive it is!
