China Will Collect Samples From The Moon – A First Since The 70’s

China is launching an unmanned moon probe this week to retrieve samples from the moon. Many countries have launched moon missions over the years but this probe to retrieve samples will be the first in almost 40 years.

China’s probe is named Chang’s E-5 after the Chinese goddess of the moon and the samples that will be brought back will be studied to help understand the composition of the moon – cool stuff happening, basically.

Shout out to everyone who still believes the moon is made out cheese (us)
