An Emirati Mom Broke A Guinness World Record In The Most Wholesome Way

Meera Al Hosani, mother of Latifa who was diagnosed with Downs Syndrome in 2011 broke the Guinness World record for largest word written using socks earlier this month.

Her word of choice? Happiness!

The use of socks was symbolic because they resemble human chromosomes and the extra chromosome that causes Downs Syndrome is also called the happiness chromosome!

Meera said of her record breaking gesture:

It was never about being the biggest or the largest. Latifa has always been a source of joy for our family and community, and I wanted to spread this emotion to my society.
