Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa just honored Community Police Corporal Fadhel Abdul Ameer Salman for saving a child from a cannon explosion earlier this week. The policeman snatched the child who was running towards the cannon only seconds before it went off. You can watch a video of the heroic moment below:
The cannon was fired as part of the tradition to announce iftar everyday. The minister stated the importance of securing the cannon area during Ramadan and urged people to stay safe and keep their children close.
