It’s been in the talks for sometime and it’s finally happening
The Ministry of Transportation and Telecom held a virtual introductory meeting to kick off phase one of the Bahrain Metro project. The Metro is planned to cover an area of around 109 km with four transit lines.
His Excellency Kamal Ahmed , Minister of Transportation and Telecom chaired the meeting which was attended by 300 individuals.
The Metro project is estimated to cost between USD 1 to 2 billion and will be built in phases. The first phase will connect the Airport to Seef Mall and will have 9 stops including City Center, The Avenues and Bab Al Bahrain.Â
